Book Review: Diary of a Wimpy Kid 15: The Deep End

Hello again, it has been awhile since I've written anything here and to be honest I kind of forgot this even existed. So here I am again and today I'll continue writing about the 'Diary of a Wimpy Kid' series. I'll be writing about book 15, The Deep End. The 16th book is actually already out, but I haven't read it yet, so I'll just review this one first. So without anymore interruptions, let's begin.  (spoilers ahead) This book isn't that bad and is pretty entertaining. I'd say it's around my 6th or 7th favorite right now. 'Old School' is still my favorite book in the series. There were some parts in the book that I found boring, but most of it was entertaining. The book continues off from the last book after their house got destroyed. Greg is living in his grandma's basement with his family, when his parents decided that they should go camping, and like every other book something bad is about to happen. When I read the blurb at t

Infinity Ring: A Mutiny in Time Review

Hello everyone, today I will be reviewing the book "Infinity Ring: A Mutiny in Time". My brother actually rented this book from his school's library and I thought it looked interesting, so I decided to read it. There's 8 books so far in the series, and for some reason most of them are written by different people.  I've only read the first book so far, but my brother said he'd rent the second one if he saw it.  The whole book series is about these kids trying to fix what is called a "break". These are times in history when things didn't go as planned. These breaks have a bad effect in the future which causes more frequent hurricanes, earthquakes and other natural disasters.  There are 2 groups in the series. The Hystorians and the SQ. The SQ are what's causing the breaks and they wan to keep them, while the Hystorians, which was founded by Aristotle wants to fix these breaks.  The kids that were sent on a journey to fix these breaks were Dak,

This School Year

Hello everyone, as you know, there's currently a global pandemic that lasted since march 2020. For this whole school year, I've done all my classes online, through zoom. Now, since the pandemic is slightly lifting, next year, my school year will be mixed, so I'll have some days where I do zoom, and some days where I do school at the actual school. So I've decided that I'll be summarizing and showing you what this school year was like, so let's start!   At first, I was quite new to the idea of online school. I never knew what zoom/ google meet was before. To be honest, I was kinda shy and nervous at first cause I didn't fully understand it. When I first used them, I thought they were pretty cool since they were moderately easy to use and had a lot of cool features. One of the problems I had with online school was that I found it pretty hard to focus since, I did school on my laptop so sometimes, when I got bored, I did other stuff, like watching Youtube or p

My Experiences With HBL/Online School

Image
For the past year, I have been doing HBL/Online school. So today, I will be writing my experiences while doing online school. Online school has it's pros and cons like most other things. One of it's pros is that it's very easy to get to school on time and we're barely ever late. One of the cons of online school is that it can get very boring quickly. So, without further ado let's start this thing. First off, I'll elaborate more on the pros and cons of online school. Pros:  - very easy to get to school on time - easier access to lunch, more time to eat it - easier access to the bathroom - students can be more comfortable -  Now it's time to move on to the cons of HBL Cons: - Students are less focused - Teachers don't know what students are doing behind their screen - Studying can be harder for students as they don't take the school as seriously - Students skip assignments more As you can see, there's a lot of goods and bads about HBL, but not it&

Top 10 Favorite Foods From Indonesia

NOTE: This list is not in any particular order, I'll just be stating my favorite foods that I've eaten from here. 1. Satay Padang First on the list is Satay Padang. Who wouldn't add Satay Padang to the list? The first time I tasted was when I was around 6 or 7. My mom told me, when she was pregnant with me, she ate Satay Padang a lot, so maybe that's why I like it. The best parts about the Satay Padang is the sauce and the lontong. Without the sauce the satay would taste bland and the lontong adds more flavor to the dish. 2. Nasi Padang Second on this list is Nasi Padang. The first time I had Nasi Padang was when I went on a family trip with my parents. We were at a hotel and we ordered some as dinner. Initially, I thought it would taste weird because it looked kinda weird. But when I tasted it, I couldn't stop eating. I finished mine and I even asked my dad if he could lend me some of his. 3. Rendang The third food on this list is Rendang. I've liked rendang

Book Review: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's stone

So recently my mom made me and my brother read Harry Potter. I've heard about Harry Potter from people talking about it like in school and such. I have never read the book so I was pretty keen and excited to read it. My brother had started without me and was on chapter 3, so I had to catch up with him.  To be honest, in the beginning I was pretty excited but then I wasn't that excited. When I started reading it though, it felt so addicting and I had to keep going. I only stopped when my phone ran out of battery. So without further ado, let us start this review.  The book starts by introducing us to the Dursleys. The Dursleys hate anything that's out of the ordinary. That's why Mrs Dursley rarely talk about her sister Lily Potter.  I honestly don't have a favorite character in the book. Don't get me wrong, the characters are great but I can't pick a favorite. All of them are really cool and fun to see and read about so it's really hard to pick a favorite.

My Final Semester Exams

Image
A few weeks ago, I had my final semester exam. I had 9 tests in total. I had 1 on the first day, and then I had 2 the next days. The tests usually lasted for around 1 to 1 and a half hours long. Some tests were pretty hard while the rest were relatively easy.   The tests started on Thursday and ended on the Wednesday the next week. We had a break in between on the Saturday and Sunday on the weekend which gave us enough time to study a bit more. Each test started at 8am and we had to join 20 minutes before so we usually joined at 7:40.  The first test I had was combined science and IPA. It lasted for an hour and a half. I had studied last night and a bit before that so I was still a tad bit unprepared. I completed the test an hour and 10 minutes later and I double checked my answers after that. When the test ended I took a break and laid down for awhile.  The next day I had Bahasa Indonesia and ICT. I was more worried about Bahasa Indonesia because I'm not really good at it.  Baha
